Literary Tapestry : Bookmark Weaving

Join our Community Engagement Specialist Rod on a journey into the fabric of creation as we learn simple weaving techniques to make our own WOVEN BOOKMARK!

This FREE workshop will introduce participants to the wonderful world of weaving using commonly available household materials. These simple techniques can be applied to larger and more complicated projects, but we’ll be starting out with a simple bookmark.

Use it to mark more complicated weaving projects in a crafts book! Or use it to remember what page of Infinite Jest you were on before you fell asleep and put the book back on the shelf it’s lived on for time immemorial.

Don’t like to read or forget what physical books look like? NO PROBLEM you can also use the bookmark as a gift tag or a bracelet or a tiny rug for dolls or action figures.

This event is totally FREE and open to all participants ages 6 and older. Younger weavers should be accompanied by an assistant.
