Animation Camp
Headwaters Arts Center 66 Main Street, Stamford, NY**Please note the NEW dates!** Come join us at Headwaters Arts Center from April 3rd-7th for Animation Camp! Design and create your own stop motion film during this five-day camp. Students will use a variety of materials to create their own characters and environments, then film their animations frame by frame. Add sound effects and music to see your characters come to life during this exciting hands-on camp! This camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm and is suited for children 10 and up. Together with book club facilitator Julie Rockefeller and other participants, readers will explore the books and their topics, share their ideas and reactions, expand their critical thinking skills, and learn about literary rating systems and their impact. Watercolor Pastel
Headwaters Arts Center 66 Main Street, Stamford, NYWorking with soft and water-soluble wax pastels, students will color dry and wet onto paper and gesso-covered surfaces. They will use stencils to mask areas to add and subtract color. The aim is to explore negative and positive space while learning new and non-traditional techniques for mixed media and fine art uses. This workshop is led by Celia Buchanan. Celia is a mixed media artist and holds a B.A. in 2-D surface design from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland, and an M.A. in arts management in education from the City University, London. UV Resin Workshop
