Opportunities at RAG with CROP

The Roxbury Arts Group, seeks teaching artists to work in the BOCES program CROP (Creating Rural Opportunities Program). Artists will design and lead one hour sessions in 14 schools in Delaware, Greene, Schohaire, and Otsego Counties during their after school program which typically begins between the final class bell and 4pm. Students range from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Classes average about 15-25 students dependent on the school.

The Roxbury Arts Group provides programming to all 14 of these central schools:

Andes,

Charlotte Valley,

Edmeston,

Gilboa-Conesville,

Hunter,

Jefferson,

Laurens,

Margaretville,

Milford,

Morris,

Roxbury,

South Kortright,

Stamford,

Worcester

Artists do not need to be able to travel to all schools but should notify the Roxbury Arts Group about which schools they feel they can attend. School availability varies by school, particular schools only allow visitors on certain days, we cannot guarantee your preference but will do our best to accommodate.

Artist’s are paid $75 per hour session, with an additional materials and travel budget for each session.

Sessions can be one off classes involving just one single session or can spread over multiple sessions into short residencies. The ability to have short residencies depends upon the schools preference and availability.
