It’s summer, and that means it’s time for Rock n’ Pop Theater Camp. This year experienced children’s theater playwright, director, and educator Malissa Kano-White returns to lead this camp that introduces children to so many aspects of performance theater. Campers will build their creative, acting, singing, and music skills as they take part in this full-week program which culminates in a performance before a live audience on Friday, July 10 at the Stamford First Presbyterian Church!

malissa headAbout the teaching artist: Malissa A. Kano-White is an assistant professor of Theatre Arts at Hartwick College where she teaches Fundamentals of Acting, Advanced Acting and Introduction to Theatre courses. As a professional director, playwright and theatre educator Malissa has worked extensively in Children’s Theatre in her capacity as, Director of the Theatre for the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, Educational Director of the Center for Theatre, a theatre museum, in Albuquerque, NM and as the Artistic Director for the Orcas Center, in Washington State.
