When they wowed the Roxbury Arts Center crowd in 2013, it was clear the Villalobos Brothers and their “contemporary high octane Mexican fiddling” were bound for great things. Since then, riding on the power of mesmerizing live shows and their acclaimed 2012 debut CD Aliens Of Extraordinary Ability, they’ve earned widespread fame as the first Mexican band to play the Apollo Theater; they’ve stunned audiences at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Symphony Space; they’ve won the esteemed Vox-Pop Award at the 2013 Independent Music Awards and guested at the Latin Grammys; they’ve charmed the world via a recent NPR segment devoted to their extended engagement at the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Bronx Botanical Garden; and they’ve touched thousands with their artistry.

The Roxbury Arts Group is thrilled to be bringing the Villalobos Brothers back to the Catskills, and this time, audiences will get not one, but two chances to see this rising act: at the Roxbury Arts Center – with a full band – on Saturday July 25th, at 7:30 PM, and in “acoustic storytelling mode” at La Escuelita in Fleischmanns (behind La Cabana, 966 Main St.) on Sunday July 26th, at 11 AM.

These events are sure to be highlights of RAG’s 2015 season. For the Roxbury Arts Center performance, advance tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for students/seniors. All tickets on the day are $27. Tickets can be purchased online at roxburyartsgroup.org or by calling 607-326-7908. The La Escuelita performance is free. Families are encouraged to attend.

Both performances are generously supported by Metnick Law Offices.
