Basket Weaving Workshop with Martha Bremer

The ever stylish and functional Melon Basket is a great project for the beginner weaver. This round style of basket is aptly named for its size and shape, and is also known affectionately as the potato or egg basket. Sashiko: Japanese Embroidery with Megan Avery

Join Megan Avery of Hipstitch Academy for a Sashiko Embroidery Workshop! Sashiko is a striking hand-sewing technique that originated in ancient Japan. In Japanese, Sashiko means “little stabs”—a reference to the plain running stitch that makes up sashiko's geometric, all-over patterns. Megan will teach you this simple ancient embroidery technique and help you to complete a small pillow project that you can take home with you after the workshop.
