Mother’s Day Paint Party

Barb Stoesser will lead participants through the steps of creating a beautiful spring bouquet. All materials are provided in the workshop fee. This event is suitable for all ages. Barb Stoesser has been hosting and leading paint parties for several years in the local community. She instructs budding artists of all ages and helps them develop confidence in their artistic journeys.

Figure Drawing

These drop-in classes cost $10 and include newsprint and charcoal. Please note that these are uninstructed sessions of life drawing. Challenge Book Club

Role Playing Game Night

Opening Reception: Please Touch the Art
Headwaters Arts Center 66 Main Street, Stamford, NYPlease join us at Headwaters Arts Center to celebrate the opening of our new exhibit, Please Touch the Art: A Tactile Exhibition Designed for Children. All of the artwork will be hung at a lower level so that children are able to touch and interact the the art pieces. The opening will take place on Saturday, May 27th from 3 to 5 pm. Beading Workshop
Headwaters Arts Center 66 Main Street, Stamford, NYCome join Donna Ferguson on May 31st and make 2 beaded projects in one evening! Participants will be creating lava stone aromatherapy bracelets with the beads of their choice. Pick out your favorite essential oil and coat the beads to create a wearable aromatherapy diffuser. The second project will be creating thin anklets with clasps. There will be a large selection of beads and findings to choose from- make a unique gift for a friend or for yourself! Roxbury Arts Center 5025 Vega Mountain Road, Roxbury, NYA Cabaret Benefit for the Roxbury Arts Group featuring Marge Helenchild with musical director Tracy Stark In this coming-out story, Marge Helenchild shares her observations and adventures of her Lesbian journey, from shy mid-west tomboy to proud New York City feminist. Cabaret is the latest form of artistic expression for Marge Helenchild. She arrived on the arts scene in New York in the early 70’s as a founding member of several visual arts and performance collectives, most notably The Women’s Interart Center and The Soho 20 Feminist Art Gallery.
