Stained Glass Feathers Plus

Due to popularity, we have added a second Stained Glass Feathers workshop with Doug Hallberg. BONUS: If you have registered for the first Stained Glass Feathers workshop on Saturday, February 10, you can also register for this workshop and work with Doug to create more feathers or create new designs of your choice!
Learn the unique craft of stained glass at this intensive five-hour workshop. Open to anyone 16 and up, this class will teach students how to make their own stained glass feathers. Beginners are welcome!
Master the basics of stained glass art. Skills practiced will be:
-Edge smoothing on diamond wheel grinders
-Applying copper foil adhesive to edges
-Cleaning and finishing with black or copper patina

Instructor Doug Hallberg is a retired NYS public school art educator (1996-2012) with an MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2012, he was awarded a New York State Enterprise grant to open Carriage House Art Studio in Oneonta, NY (2012-2018) to provide a variety of community classes, including some geared toward artists with special needs. His areas of expertise include stained glass, ceramics, sculpture and drawing.
