Sashiko: Japanese Embroidery with Megan Avery
June 25 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Join Megan Avery of Hipstitch Academy for a Sashiko Embroidery Workshop!
Sashiko is a striking hand-sewing technique that originated in ancient Japan. In Japanese, Sashiko means “little stabs”—a reference to the plain running stitch that makes up sashiko’s geometric, all-over patterns.
Megan will teach you this simple ancient embroidery technique and help you to complete a small pillow project that you can take home with you after the workshop.
