Film Screening: Marcel the Shell With Shoes On

The Headwaters Arts Center is presenting a Community Film Series – three films that celebrate community in different in brilliant ways! All films will be screened at the Headwaters Arts Center. There are no advance reservations, seating is first-come, first served. The Headwaters Arts Center has folding chairs for guests, but attendees can bring their own folding chairs if they prefer. There is no cost to attend. Donations are gratefully accepted to support the continued programming offered by the Roxbury Arts Group.

Marcel is an adorable one-inch-tall shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother Connie and their pet lint, Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. But when a documentary filmmaker discovers them amongst the clutter of his Airbnb, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans, as well as unprecedented dangers and a new hope at finding his long-lost family.
