August 30- Art in the Park: The World’s Influence on Art

Art in the Park: The World’s Influence on Art
Wednesday, August 30, 10 AM
at the Kirkside Park Barns
Roxbury, NY
Free

The final Art in the Park of this summer will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at 10AM in the Kirkside Park Barns. This final session will explore the works of impressionist painter and musician Wassily Kandinsky as well as the work of surrealist Hans Arp. These two artists both believe in the freedom of art and how it can be influenced by the world around us. Young artists will learn about these ideas, too, as they create art while different types of music play in the background and then by making “chance collages” to learn that art can happen by accident.
