A child’s participation in the arts empowers them to think critically and use their creativity in ways that will ultimately help them to succeed later in life. With that in mind, the Roxbury Arts Group is excited to announce a new free program series called Art in the Park which will be taking place each Wednesday in August of 2016. A different free activity will be available each Wednesday from 10a to 11a for children ages 3 to 6 years old and all of the necessary materials will be provided.

This will be the first event of the program series and the Roxbury Arts Group will create nature rubbings with the children who attend. The children will collect different materials (leaves, tree bark, rocks, etc.) from throughout the park. The found items will then be used to create uniquely beautiful works of art using just crayons and pieces of paper.

Convenient parking in the Gould Memorial Church Parking Lot.
This event will happen rain or shine.
Restrooms will be open and available during the event.
