Join us as we support the growing artist community in our area by attending our new program – Critique Night. This is an opportunity for artists to meet with fellow local professional creatives and discuss their work and artistic process.
“The Roxbury Critique Night should be seen first and foremost as a vehicle for artists to get feedback and network with each other,” says Miguel Martinez-Riddle, the Visiting Artist who will be leading the discussion at the event. “It’s also a chance for the community to have conversations on studio practice, art history, theory, methods, materials, and contemporary context.”
Featured artists can present a maximum of three artworks of a reasonable size, and the pieces can be works-in-progress or already completed.
Artists who would like to have their work featured during the event should sign up in advance by emailing Annie Schwed at annie@roxburyartsgroup.org or calling 607.326.7908. Featured artist spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. members of the community, artists, and non-artists alike, are invited to join the conversation at the event, which is free and open to the public.
