New York based theatre director, Laura Josepher, has been directing, teaching, and coaching professionally in New York City for the past thirty years. She recently taught the History Alive Theatre Camp at Roxbury Arts Group. Directing credits include Murder for Two at Cape Fear Regional Theatre in Fayetteville, North Carolina; Godspell and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at The International College of Musical Theatre (ICMT); Edges at Den Danske Scenekunstskole in Fredericia, Denmark; and the new musical Searching for Romeo at the NY Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Along with partner, David Sisco, she runs ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com, a resource that helps teachers, students and professionals find well-written, largely unpublished contemporary musical theatre songs. Together they wrote the book, Mastering College Musical Theatre Auditions: Sound Advice for the Student, Teacher, and Parent. Laura has a Master of Arts in Educational Theatre, and a Bachelor of Music, both from New York University. She has taught or been a Guest Artist at Fordham University, Syracuse University, Den Danske Scenekunstskole, Marymount Manhattan College, and New York University, as well as running a private audition coaching studio. She is also an Equity stage manager, a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, and a Member of SDC. She lives in New York City and Andes, NY with her husband and two daughters.
