Three friends, world renown musicians, converge on the Catskills for a night of chamber music.

A dear friend of the Roxbury Arts Group, Ben Breen spoke with us last season about inviting some of his friends/fellow musicians up to perform in the Old School Baptist Church. Ben, a worldwide award-winning violinist, has curated a night of classical music to rival the beauty of our Catskill Mountains. Recognized as one of Australia’s outstanding violinists, Benjamin Breen made his New York recital debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.  He has since toured in Australia, Europe, the United States and Japan, receiving critical acclaim both as soloist with orchestra, in recital and as chamber musician. Ben Breen is also the Artistic Director of the Hudson Chamber Society presenting a diverse series of Chamber Music at the Yamaha Piano Salon in Midtown Manhattan.

Zuill Bailey, widely considered one of the premiere cellists in the world, is a Grammy Award-winning, internationally-renowned soloist, recitalist, Artistic Director and teacher. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry and engaging personality has secured his place as one of the most sought after and active cellists today. A consummate concerto soloist, Bailey has been featured with symphony orchestras worldwide and has collaborated with such conductors as Itzhak Perlman, Alan Gilbert, Andrew Litton and many more.

Among his generation of concert artists, pianist Awadagin Pratt is acclaimed for his musical insight and intensely involving performances in recital and with symphony orchestras. In November 2009, Mr. Pratt was one of four artists selected to perform at a classical music event at the White House that included student workshops hosted by the First Lady, Michelle Obama, and performing in concert for guests including President Obama. He has performed two other times at the White House, both at the invitation of President and Mrs. Clinton. Awadagin has played numerous recitals throughout the US including performances at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and with the New York Philharmonic.
