The Roxbury Arts Group will christen the new gazebo in Veteran’s Park with the Catskill region’s own fiddlin’ sweetheart and the model of Americana, Sara Milonovich, along with guitarist Greg Anderson.

MilonovichAmericana singer, songwriter and fiddler Sara Milonovich, with guitarist Greg Anderson, will debut new material from her forthcoming sophomore CD, “Waiting for the Stars”. A multifaceted solo artist, and Hilt Kelly protégée, Milonovich has been a highly sought-after accompanist in the rock, folk, bluegrass, Americana, and celtic music worlds, and has performed and recorded throughout North and South America, Europe and beyond. Growing up on a working farm in rural upstate New York, she began playing when she was four, and by nine was leading her own band (around the same time she learned to drive a tractor.) After a collection of awards for fiddling, singing, songwriting, and composing, she left school at sixteen to hit the road with NY bluegrass band The McKrells. She has since built on her career as an accompanist and collaborator with such artists as Richard Shindell, Pete Seeger (on his Grammy-winning At 89 album), Eliza Gilkyson, Cathie Ryan, Mountain Quickstep, and Antje Duvekot, among others, while simultaneously earning a degree in Biology from Cornell. Her current 5-piece roots-rock band Daisycutter is a group of musicians inspired by the varied musical scenes they inhabit at home in New York, combining a wide-screen city view with a bracing dose of rural realism.

Daisycullter guitarist and producer, Greg Anderson is a multi-instrumentalist who also co-founded the acclaimed Celtic-fusion group Whirligig. Currently touring with The Eileen Ivers Band, he has also performed and recorded with many diverse international artists, including Susan McKeown, The Klezmatics, Cathie Ryan, Itzhak Perlman, and Doctor Nerve, among others. Also a much sought after producer and arranger, he is a recognized expert at the blending of traditional and world music with contemporary sounds and production values, and has produced albums for many of these same artists, along with dozens of others.
