The Roxbury Arts Group will present a professional development workshop for artists and organizations called “Getting Press Releases Printed” which will focus on how to write effective press releases. Joan Lawrence-Bauer, owner of the Catskill Mountain News, will be the featured guest and will share writing recommendations and tips for getting your releases noticed. Joan will highlight best practices for sharing information about events in ways that attract attention. After her brief presentation, questions from participants will be welcomed, allowing the workshop to be tailored directly to participants’ needs. If participants wish, they can bring a sample press release for Joan to review.
“Getting Press Releases Printed” is a professional development workshop for artists and organizations in Delaware County through the support of the Decentralization Grant Program (DEC), a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts. This workshop is being offered to strengthen the capacity of local artists and organizations. This workshop is free for all Decentralization Grant applicants and awardees from the past three years. All others may participate in this workshop for a cost of $5. Pre-registration is required to attend this workshop.
