Families, start your day with art in the park!
There’s no better way to start your day than with art. Join us on Wednesdays, July 29 – August 26, from 10:30a – 11:30a where you’ll create some beautiful projects based on multicultural art from around the world. The projects are best suited for children ages 4-14.
July 29 Project: Kente Cloths
Based on hand-woven cloth from Ghana where specific colors are used to symbolize a variety of hopes and ideals. Little artists will decorate, weave and combine paper into pieces based on these traditional patterns.
Parents / guardians will need to be hands-on with children who need assistance. This is not a drop off program – families need to stay together. Tables will be spaced no less than 6′ apart. Crafting surfaces and supplies will be sanitized between each participant use. All participants, and their families, must wear masks when not at their assigned crafting station. The “mask required” area will be roped off and labeled.
