Celebrate our region’s rich, diverse, and vibrant arts community here in the Catskills with work from over 60 local, regional, and internationally recognized artists. All artwork will go to the highest bidder at For Arts’ Sake, the Roxbury Arts Group’s highly anticipated fine art auction on Saturday, July 21at 3:00pm at the Roxbury Arts Center, 5025 Vega Mountain Road, Roxbury NY. This annual fundraising event benefits both the participating artist as well as the Roxbury Arts Group, providing support for the programs and events the Roxbury Arts Group offers throughout our region’s rural towns and villages. The Roxbury Arts Group kicks off the For Arts’ Sake Preview Week on Saturday, July 14, with work open to the public at 10 am and a free Artist Talk at 2 pm. Visit and see the work in person, and hear directly from the artists about their creative process. The Arts Center will also be open on Sunday, July 15 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm to accommodate weekend visitors. Continue to experience the vibrancy of our regional creative community during regular gallery hours Tuesday – Friday, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. There is no admission fee during the For Arts’ Sake Preview Week at the Roxbury Arts Center.

At the end of Preview Week on July 21 at 3:00 pm there’s a silent and live auction, a wonderful array of art and delicious things to eat and drink. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early since sections of the auction will close during various times throughout the event. The Roxbury Arts Group is excited to announce that Peggy Bellar, of Catskill Dream Team, will again team up with Chuck McIntosh, of McIntosh Auctions, for a live auction portion of For Arts’ Sake. Tickets are only $10, which includes hors d’oeuvres and refreshments served by Ate.O.Ate gourmet catering. Bring your friends and neighbors to this great summer party.
