CROP Teaching Artists

The Roxbury Arts Group seeks teaching artists to work in the ONC BOCES program “CROP (Creating Rural Opportunities Program).” Artists will design and lead one-hour sessions in 14 schools in Delaware, Greene, Schoharie, and Otsego Counties during their after-school program which typically begins between the final class bell and 4 pm. Students range from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Classes average about 15-25 students depending on the school.

Artists do not need to be able to travel to all schools but should notify the Roxbury Arts Group about which schools they feel they can attend. School availability varies and schools may only allow visitors on certain days, we cannot guarantee your preference but will do our best to accommodate. Artists are paid $75 per hour session, with an additional budget for materials and travel for each session.

Sessions can be one-off classes involving just a single session or can expand over multiple sessions for short residencies. The ability to have short residencies depends on the school’s preference and availability.
