Old School Baptist Church

The intersection of Route 36 and Cartwright Road Denver NY

This historic 150-year-old building, once bustling with an active congregation, has seen its membership dwindle over the years. In 2008, the Roxbury Arts Group, alongside a dedicated group of community members, committed to preserving it for future generations. Today, we continue this tradition at the Old School Baptist Church by offering performances that showcase the building's phenomenal acoustics in the bucolic Denver Vega Valley.

Please respect our neighbors by parking only on the church side of the road. Accessible parking is available directly in front of the church.

Headwaters Arts Center

66 Main Street. Stamford, NY 12167
(607) 214-6040

Originally built around 1890 on the site of the Blish home, the Chichester store was one of three prominent businesses at the corner of Main and North Delaware. It initially operated as a grocery store under A.J. Chichester as part of Chichester Brothers until 1899. Later, in 1935, Frank Traxler remodeled it into a Benjamin Franklin five-and-dime store. Over the years, it served various functions, including an insurance office and a hair salon, before becoming the Headwaters Arts Center. Now, it is a creative learning center under the Roxbury Arts Group, serving Stamford and the surrounding areas.
