    Position: Headwaters Program Manager

    Location: Stamford, NY

    Work Schedule: Part-time, 20-24 hours/week

    Salary: $19-$20/hr, based on experience

    The Roxbury Arts Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to making the arts an integral part of life in the communities that we serve, seeks a Program Manager to oversee our Headwaters Arts Center in Stamford, NY. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Headwaters Program Manager is responsible for the administration, planning and implementation of arts programming for adult and youth of all abilities and stages of their creative careers, and work to strengthen and grow community partnerships. 

    DUTIES:

    Program and Teacher Management

    ● Design and deliver a year-round series of creative learning opportunities

    ● Engage with teaching artists and program participants to create a positive experience

    ● Facilitate teaching artist management and communications

    ● Process teaching artist payments

    ● Assist with oversight of supplies in coordination with teaching artists requests and program needs.

    Exhibitions

    ● Plan and implement exhibit series

    ● Manage communications with exhibiting artists

    ● Manage sales and delivery or sold artwork

    ● Manage communications with exhibiting artists

    Program Administration

    ● Assist with coordination and implementation of year-round programming

    ● Participate in the recruitment and management of volunteers and interns

    ● Track the impact of programs offered at the Headwaters Arts Center

    Facilities Management

    ● Manage and maintain the Roxbury Arts Group physical footprint in Stamford

    ● Create and maintain a clean, creative, and welcoming environment for our guests.

    ● Perform regular, basic cleaning tasks.

    Community Engagement and Marketing

    ● Assist with program marketing and outreach

    ● Engage with the local community to promote programs

    Other responsibilities and projects as deemed necessary by the Executive Director.

    The Headwaters Program Manager is directly supported by the part-time Community Engagement Specialist.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    ● Experience with community engagement, arts education, or arts administration

    ● Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for programs and events

    ● Ability to work self-directed and within a small group

    ● Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for details

    ● Strong time-management skills and experience in handling multiple deadlines

    ● Solid computer skills

    ● A creative and entrepreneurial spirit with strong problem solving skills

    This position requires most days onsite in Stamford NY with flexibility travel to the Roxbury NY office for some meetings and events.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Headwaters Program Manager is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distant vision, and the ability to focus.
