Towel Bar Basket Workshop
Headwaters Arts Center 66 Main Street, Stamford, NYWeave an 8” Towel Bar with Pegs During this workshop participants will learn to weave a multi-use basket to hang on the wall for mail, notes, keys or even dried flowers. Basic weaving techniques, such as the over-under weave, will be taught. Both natural and dyed reed will be used to weave the sides. This is a basket for both the beginner and experienced weaver. All materials and tools are included. Please bring a small towel to soak up excess water. Clay Box Workshop
Headwaters Arts Center 66 Main Street, Stamford, NYRhonda Harrow-Engel will return to Headwaters to lead a second clay workshop on June 11th. She will guide participants through the steps of creating a clay box using slab construction techniques. There will be a variety of pattern blocks, stamps and drawing tools available to decorate the surface and to create texture. Rhonda will glaze and fire the boxes at her Delhi studio and will have them ready for pickup at Headwaters in the beginning of April.
