A child’s participation in the arts empowers them to think critically and use their creativity in ways that will ultimately help them to succeed later in life. With that in mind, the Roxbury Arts Group is excited to announce a new free program series called Art in the park which will be taking place each Wednesday in August of 2016. A different free activity will be available each Wednesday from 10a to 11a for children ages 3 to 6 years old and all of the necessary materials will be provided.

This will be the last event of the series and children are welcome to come to the park and create rock creatures. With whatever shape and size rocks your child chooses, they will turn simple items from nature into a unique creature. Children can pain their rocks and glue on additional parts (leaves, eyes, etc. ) to make their creature one of a kind.

Convenient parking in the Gould Memorial Church Parking Lot.
This event will happen rain or shine.
Restrooms will be open and available during the event.
