The Roxbury Arts Group is proud to administer the Decentralization Grant Program (DEC), a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, in Delaware County. Solveig Comer, Grants and Community Coordinator for the Roxbury Arts Group, will present this Grant Information Session on Tuesday, August 28, at 1 pm, at the Robert W. Nichol Nature Preserve, 404 West Main Street, Hancock. At this information session, Solveig will review grant guidelines, provide an overview of the grant process, highlight successful DEC Grant-Funded Projects, and provide tips for successful grant writing.

DEC funds support arts projects in three categories: Community Arts, Arts Education, and Individual Artists. This year the Roxbury Arts Group is excited to announce an expansion to the Individual Artist category. The Individual Artist Decentralization Grant opportunity is a “live & work” investment in local artists, designed to increase support for local artist-initiated activity and to highlight the role of artists as important members of the community. These grants are intended to support creative, professional artists interested in working within a community setting, in Delaware County.

The DEC Grant deadline is Friday, November 2, 2018. For more information about the DEC Grant Program and to review Grant Guidelines, visit the Artlinx page of our website, email Solveig Comer at community@roxburyartsgroup.org, or call the Roxbury Arts Group office at 607.326.7908.

Anyone interested in applying for a DEC Grant to support projects and programs that will take place in Delaware County during 2019 must attend an information session.
