Join us as local author / artist Sharon B. Suess reads her newly published book “The Mean Green Cleaning Machine” and leads participants in an art activity inspired by the book.
“The Mean Green Cleaning Machine”, written and illustrated by Sharon Brookhouse Suess, is about a little girl who has the job of cleaning her room which seems like an impossible task. After day dreaming and wishing she had a machine to do it for her, she gets started. With a little help from her mom, she keeps working until her room is sparkling, clean and bright. She discovers that if she just keeps going, no matter how hard it seems, she can be successful. Her mother is proud of her, and even more important, she is proud of herself.
Following the reading Ms. Suess will lead participants in an art session, making crafts inspired from her book.
Admission to this event is free and open to the public. However donations are gratefully accepted to support this event and other Roxbury Arts Group programming.
