Cut and carve your way to a personal piece of artwork. Using basic linocut tools, participants will etch out their designs on blocks on linoleum under the guidance of artist Gary Mayer. They will then learn to ink and press their blocks creating a final piece of art. Linocut is a form of printmaking, similar to woodcuts, only using linoleum as the vehicle.
Gary Mayer is well known for his courageous and bold paintings. Often creating pieces that are large in size and wild in design. Gary is a seasoned instructor having taught workshops in a variety of mediums. His work has hung in prestigious galleries from Detroit to New York City to right here in the Catskills.
Pre-registration is required for this workshop. Youth & Family Scholarships are available.
