NY TIMES • 6/13/09 Review:
"Jessica Dickey is giving such an extraordinary performance in “The Amish Project” ... that she makes it easy to overlook
something else: the play is also a remarkable piece of writing..."
The Amish Project, carefully researched and brilliantly written, is a complex fictionalized picture of the response to the 2006 Nickel Mines Schoolhouse shootings in the Amish community and surrounding neighborhoods. It is heart-rending, thought-provoking, humorous, informative and uplifting.

GLIMMERGLASS OPERA TRIP

Join us on our annual bus trip to the renowned Glimmerglass Opera for a matinee performance of La Traviata, and a delicious luncheon buffet at the lovely Otesago Hotel on the lake in Cooperstown.

LA TRAVIATA: "A happiness which has become impossible..." With those words, Alexandre Dumas fils ended his affair with Marie DuPlessis, the young socialite with whom he shared a real and impassioned love story. Marie's legend as told in La Dame aux Camelias caught Verdi's imagination, and, in La Traviata, he captured the magic of Violetta's impossible happiness.

Jonathan Miller's 1989 La Traviata at Glimmerglass is still admired today, and 20 years later, Mr. Miller will revisit the work for what promises to be another breathtaking production.

$95 Balcony/ $115 Orchestra if reserved by June 15th.
