It’s summer, and that means it’s time for Rock n’ Pop Theater Camp! This year, renowned singer-songwriter and educator Nancy Tarr introduces children to many aspects of performance theater. Campers will build their acting, singing, and music skills as they take part in this full-week program, culminating in a performance before a live audience on Friday, July 14 at the Stamford First Presbyterian Church!
About the teaching artist: Nancy Tarr graduated from SUNY college at Oneonta with a degree in Theater. She is a classically trained singer and plays guitar and piano. Her music career has taken to her to New York City, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. In addition to teaching, her past projects have included working as the music coordinator on 8 Mile, performing in both the Lilith Fair and the H.O.R.D.E. Festival, releasing several self-produced CD’s and singing an Emmy-nominated song for Days of Our Lives, as well as working in government affairs and artist relations for the Recording Industry Association of America.
